This was my first time dining here. I had the gumbo, the catfish tacos, and cajun beef on fries. The food was delicious, especially the gumbo. This gumbo was perfect from the flavor, to the perfectly cooked chicken. If I had to choose a last meal, that gumbo would be it and lots of it.
Stopped in to try this place yesterday while visiting in the area. It was crowded so you figure it must be good. Did not disappoint. Food, service and cost were all great. Will definitely be back!! I had the gumbo and fried jalapeño.
Excellent cajun food at a great price and fast, friendly service in a clean, comfortable setting. Their fried catfish tacos are my favorite and so delicious. Everything I've had from the menu is amazing. You can't beat their Taco Tuesday deal. Any taco is just $2.50 and worth every penny. Where else can you eat dinner for that kind of money?
Stopped in to eat here with my mom and daughter the other day. Let me tell ya the catfish was cooked to perfection and the fries had a good Cajun seasoning on them with just the right amount of spice. My daughter had the gumbo she loved it and again it came with that same great NOLA kick. My mom had the salad and agreed it was well made aswell. If you’re in the area I wouldn’t skip this hidden gem
This place is AMAZING!!! The service staff was very patient while I decided what to order. I really wanted to try their grits but am not a shrimp fan. They let me substitute catfish for shrimp. I also ordered a side of hush puppies. The portions were HUGE and the food was piping hot when it came out. I forgot to try their in-house tarter sauce, but that's my bad. I ordered some gumbo to go and that was also delicious. The people were so nice, especially the "pop" or grandpa at the counter. I'll definitely return again. 👍
Omg. Words can’t convey how awesome my experience was. The food was great but that wasn’t MY highlight. It was the love and WARMTH my autistic son and I received. From the grandparents all the way down to the grandchildren. Now to the FOOOOOD lol My son is an extremely picky eater.. Today he tried catfish for the first time and CLEARED the entire plate. I had a the burger and it was DIVINE! Cabbage?!? SUPERB! THIS place will need a MUCH bigger space soon because I can foresee it growing LEAPS AND BOUNDS.
This is an awesome place. The owners greet you with warmth, service is prompt, the food is delicious, and our complicated take out order was ready in under 10 minutes. The oysters were great, the tacos are amazing and a great value, and we will ne returning for the Po' Boys.
Sometimes the true test for a restaurant is ordering take out. You fellas passed 100%! I tried to order online knowing it was most likely busy in the restaurant but online ordering had been turned off. They picked up the phone and took my order anyway. I appreciated that. I ordered fish tacos, wings, fries, banana pudding, and gumbo. Everything was fresh and packaged well! The guy made sure to show and verify my order before I left. I enjoyed my meal at home. I will be back!
